Here are some tips for improving your Google ranking in 3 easy steps:

1. Choose the Right Keywords:

That sounds like a no-brainer, but you might be amazed at how many online websites are not optimizing their search engine rankings by finding and using the best keywords. Don’t make the mistake of using keywords that are too generic. Instead, drill down and be as specific as you possible can. If you are more specific, you will be dealing with less competition, while targeting viewers who will be more likely to buy what you are selling. If you want to find out how many competitors you have that are using the same keywords as you are, do a Google search using the Keywords Tool and see how many results come back. For example, if you have an online pet supply business and use the keyword phrase “pet beds” you can be sure of having a truckload of competitors using that exact phrase. But if you narrow it down more specifically to “washable pet beds” you probably won’t have as much competition.

2. Use SEO Optimized URL and Title Tag:

Your domain name and title tag are two of the most important factors in how you are ranked with Google. There are those who feel that keywords in their URL appear unprofessional. If you don’t feel comfortable incorporating keywords into your URL, or if you have already registered your domain and don’t want to change it; then just add your keywords into the names of your web pages. For your title tag, add your most pertinent keywords as close to the front as possible.

3. Build Up Back Links:

One of the best things you can do to boost your search ranking with Google is to have lots of back links.
