Your ecommerce dropshipping business can get a boost in sales if you blog.
Blogging is one sure fire way to drive more traffic to your website and rev up those sales!
When you have a blog and post to it at least once a day, you are adding fresh content on a daily basis.
Why is this a good thing?
Because if you don’t add fresh, new content to your website every day, it isn’t being indexed by Google. Besides that, you’re limiting the amount of content on your web site for searchers.
Many ecommerce and dropshipping businesses are taking advantage of the benefits of blogging.
But many are not.
If you have a blog and your competition doesn’t---you’re already one step ahead of them. Staying ahead of the competition is a
very good thing!
Here are a few tips to help you blog successfully:
- Don’t over sell: No obvious hype on your blog, please. It’s okay, of course, to post and let viewers know about sales, specials and promotions. But don’t come on too strong with a lot of blatant advertising.
- Educate Your Customers: A blog is a wonderful way to educate your customers! Say, for instance, that you have a dropshipping internet business and sell books. Your blog would be an excellent place to feature a particular best-selling author and/or book, and tell your readers a little about one or both.
- Reward Your Customers: Get your customers involved in your blog! A fantastic way to get customers back to your internet store is to have a contest of some sort with a decent prize. You might have an e-scavenger hunt, for example, and cleverly conceal an image of a particular object on your website. The first customer to find it then wins the prize. It doesn’t have to be an expensive prize. You might offer free shipping or ten bucks off on their next order. A lot of people really get into contests! In fact, online contests are extremely popular, and the reason they’re popular is because they work. This is also why you should always actively try to get buyers or visitors to sign up for you email list. Then you can notify everyone on your list whenever you start a new contest.
- Post Random Discount Codes: Make it a point to post a discount code in your blog fairly often, but do it on a purely random basis. The idea here is to attract people to your blog and hence, your website. If someone knows that you might be posting a great discount code in your blog, but they don’t know exactly when, it might get them to check in with you more often. And while they’re on your website anyway, maybe they’ll buy something.
- Link, Link, Link: Linking to your product pages from your blog is a really good way to optimize your rank in search results. Back links to yourself count! You can decide what the anchor text is in the link, which does matter in search optimization.
Blogs are a golden opportunity for your drop shipping or other ecommerce business to attract attention, build up a following of loyal repeat customers and entice new customers to your business, improve your search engine ranking and crank up your sales!
