Make Quick Money Dropshipping by Using Time Wisely
Having an at-home career can be advantageous in many ways. However, the very convenience and freedom of this business arrangement can be detrimental if misunderstood and misused. For example, working at home often means that you will not have any supervision. This can be great, but too many businesspeople end up dawdling or fiddling with trivial pastimes, only to find that hours have passed without anything significant being accomplished.
Time management can be quite an important, serious business. A great deal of research and thought has been expended into finding how people use their time, and how this use can be improved. Here are some interesting theories that might have some bearing on the way you use your time when doing business at home. You can literally make quick money dropshipping by maximizing your time.
Here are some ideas covered in Tim Ferriss's excellent book on time management, The 4 Hour Workweek.
Firstly, use the 80/20 Principle of Joseph M. Juran. This basically states that most of your desirable outcomes are actually rooted in a small proportion of your processes. Learn to locate your most directly productive processes, and maximize them. Trim the time you spend on the less productive aspects of business.
Parkinson's Principle may also prove useful. This basically means that a task may seem critical not because it really matters, but because you have spent a lot of time on it. If you examine your work process, you might find that something you thought was a huge project only seemed that way because you dawdled on it. With enough discipline, you can impose deadlines on yourself, and finish sooner than you expected.
Also, try to block out distractions. If you suddenly feel the urge to check on your inbox, or surf the Internet to find the answer to a momentarily fascinating trivia question, ask yourself first if you really need to know about it right this minute. Is it critical that you know the alias Sherlock Holmes used after he faked his death (Sigerson), or the name of the band singer Shirley Manson headlined before she went on to become the vocalist for Garbage (Angelfish)? Probably not. However, once you have finished your tasks, you can spend all the time you like on these, and other, hopefully less trivial, pursuits.
Good time management is not just great for business. It can also improve your overall quality of life by freeing more hours to do something you find more meaningful and fun. Spend time with friends and loved ones, or do something to improve your neighborhood. Time is precious, all the more so because it can never really be replaced-all the more reason to maximize what you have.
