Successful Dropship Selling on eBay: Myth or Reality?

Is there any such animal, vegetable or mineral as a successful dropship seller on eBay?
Do successful eBay sellers of any kind still exist, at all?
These are commonly asked questions these days in the world of ecommerce, and the answer to both is YES.
Yes, there are.
Dropship selling on eBay makes more sense in many ways than the old Mom & Pop hitting yard sales and selling stuff on eBay business.
Let’s face it: yard and garage sales, estate sales and flea markets, thrift stores and cleaning out attics is a hit-or-miss proposition. Especially as high as gasoline is today.
An eBay seller might spend an entire day or even an entire weekend burning up tanks full of gas, hitting umpteen sales and thrift stores in search of items to buy cheap and sell for a reasonable profit on eBay---and not come across enough to fill up the trunk of the car.
It’s iffy, at best.
A dropship seller, on the other hand, doesn’t burn up an ounce of gas or spend any time out fruitlessly hunting items to sell on eBay. All a dropship seller has to do is go to a large, major drop ship wholesale supplier such as Drop Shop Access, browse through the more than 700,000 high quality brand name products available to sell….and start selling them.
It’s just that simple and easy.
Nor does a drop ship seller on eBay have to concern themselves with packaging and shipping, because Drop Ship Access takes care of that hassle, plus houses all of the inventory!
As many traditional eBay sellers can tell you, rummaging through a freezing cold outbuilding in the dead of winter for an item sold out of an eBay store is no picnic.
Besides that, packaging supplies are expensive when you have to ship items yourself!
Many smaller eBay sellers have no outbuildings and are forced to keep their entire eBay inventory plus packing supplies in their homes, where it takes up living space.
A dropshipping eBay seller doesn’t have any of those inconveniences or headaches!
Now, there are those who are convinced that due to the ridiculous way eBay has raised the bar on customer service, it is too risky to try and sell by dropshipping.
Actually, it is more challenging than it was before all those outlandish changes came about.
But the grim truth is that it’s risky to sell on eBay at all. For anybody….not just dropship sellers.
That being said, you can still make a lot of money on eBay with dropship products IF you are proactive in managing your business. For example, communicate clearly with buyers and let them know approximately when their item will arrive.
There is a box now on the selling page for a seller to check that indicates shipment within X amount of business days. If you are using a dropshipper such as Drop Ship Access, you can be sure that shipment will be prompt. But to be on the safe side, leave some leeway and allow a couple of extra days for shipment.
As long as buyers are made aware of the facts and you aren’t trying to flimflam them, they’re usually fine.
The ones who are unreasonable and not fine would be that way whether their item was dropshipped or not. Those types wouldn’t be satisfied if their widget was sent in an armored car, packaged in a solid gold box.
However, if you’re upfront and honest, you’ll have enough happy, satisfied customers to do well dropship selling on eBay.
And that’s good enough.
Contrary to what the big wheels at eBay seem to think: It’s impossible to please everybody.
And you don't have to in order to be successful as an eBay seller!
