Optimize User Experience on Your eCommerce Dropship Website

Optimizing user experience on your ecommerce dropship website will go a long way toward building your business!
Your site should look good, but good looks alone won’t compensate for poor usability.
Here are some handy tips for optimizing user experience on your ecommerce website:
Testing…123...testing…
Test, test and test again! If you can’t afford to hire pros to test customer usability, then rely on the kindness of friends and family. But test the usability if your site on a regular, ongoing basis.
Always remember that if your ecommerce website is not user friendly, people won’t want to use it.
In fact, most shoppers will leave for friendlier shores where the usability is better. Having a site that is awkward, slow, cumbersome, hard to navigate, hard to search, with a too lengthy checkout or any of the other 1001 things that can be wrong is the quickest way to lose customers to your competition.
Once they’re gone, they’re almost always gone for good. It’s doubtful that you could lure these disenchanted shoppers back to your website once they’ve come and gone due to a poorly functioning site.
So, test usability early, and test it often!
One thing you should definitely do to enhance user experience on your ecommerce dropshipping website is to make customers a good, clearly defined offer on your home page.
Some entrepreneurs make the mistake of having offers that are confusing to buyers.
You should make your offer very simple and easy to understand. This is no time for subtlety. Whatever the user came to your website looking for---you should point them to it with an offer immediately.
Think of it this way: Every feature on your website should be supporting “Buy Now” or “Add to Cart.”  Don’t waste time and/or money developing site tools and features that do not promote the buying event!
This is best for the buyers, as it saves them time and hassle….and it is certainly best for you.
Another good way to stay on top of user experience is to use analytics. Google Analytics is FREE and you can glean an amazing amount of useful information and pertinent data from it.
Make usability testing an integral part of your website maintenance to improve sales for your online dropship business!

User experience has definitely been key to getting someone to "buy now". Something interesting which caught my eye recently is an application which keeps consumers on my site and speeds the buying decision is a free onsite comparative pricing application from winbuyercorp.com. Lots of "biggie" retailers like amazon and hayneedle(netshops) use this strategy - maybe worth testing . . . .
