Social Media Marketing Tips for your Dropship Business

social media marketing for dropshippingIf you have an online dropship business or other ecommerce enterprise, you should definitely be using social media marketing!

While social media marketing isn’t all that complicated, it does need to be done correctly in order to get the best results from your efforts.

Discover tips & tricks that will vastly improve your social media marketing & boost sales!

Here are some great tips to help you maximize social media marketing for your dropship business:

  • If you are just getting started using social media marketing, understand that in order to build, you must first have a blueprint---some kind of plan---so that you know how to lay the foundation. So, before you establish a presence on any of the social sites, decide exactly what you hope to accomplish with your marketing campaign, and proceed from there.

  • Social media isn’t as easy as just getting on Facebook or Twitter and blabbing out a bunch of worthless nonsense solely to be saying something. You must provide something of true value to others! Your Facebook posts and Twitter tweets should be informative, educational, amusing or entertaining. They should engage the reader!

  • Locate your target audience! There are approximately 500 million users on Facebook and about 100 million on Twitter as of September 2010. That’s a lot of people! Bear in mind that these people will have widely divergent interests and zero in on the ones who are most likely to be interested in your business/products. There are several ways to go about this. Both sites have search features, for instance, that allow you to find other members whose interests mirror or correlate with yours. Those are the people you need to engage!

  • Be yourself! Nobody likes a phony, even online. If you are insincere and full of baloney, others will pick up on it and your social media marketing days will be over. Be authentic. Be genuine. Comment on the things or posts that you genuinely connect with!

  • When you get an opportunity to offer advice or info about an area of your expertise---do it! This doesn’t mean that you should come on like gangbusters and barge into an online conversation like a know-it-all. But go about it tactfully and you will help to establish yourself as an expert in your niche.

Using social media wisely can help build your brand and promote your online dropship business!
