1. Treat it as a job: Yes, you’re working from home and it is no longer necessary to dress up in uncomfortable suits, ties, pantyhose and high heels. But, it’s still your job and how you earn your living. So, tempting though it may be to work in your pajamas….don’t. You don’t need to dress up, of course, but put on real clothing even if it’s a nice, comfy pair of baggy sweats and a tee shirt. You’ll be in a frame of mind more conducive to work with real clothes on, whereas in pajamas; your brain is prepared to sleep.
2. Have a track to run on: This is vitally important! Make a schedule and barring any unforeseen emergencies, stick to it. Start your work day at a predetermined time each day. Have a list or a plan of what you intend to get done on which day and follow it as closely as possible. Not only will you feel better when the day is done, knowing that you have accomplished what you set out to do, but staying on a regular track establishes a routine and as time goes by, it becomes so familiar that it ends up being more of an ingrained habit. That’s a good thing!
3. Set goals and reward yourself for reaching them: Goal setting is one of the most important things you can do for your dropship business! The carrot dangling at the end of a stick works for humans in the same way it works for donkeys. Set your goals, and then when you attain one---reward yourself. It doesn’t have to be a big reward, just something pleasurable for you, a little treat of some kind. For example, if you set yourself a goal to increase the number of subscribers on your opt-in mailing list to X amount, you may want to promise yourself a reward of a free afternoon through the week to play golf, go fishing or out to the local shopping mall.
These tips can improve your work habits and efficiency, which will mean more money for your dropship business!
