Ecommerce Dropship Tips: How to Build a Facebook Fan Base

socila media Facebook dropship businessAre you interested in using social media marketing for your dropship or other ecommerce business but wondering how you go about building a fan base on Facebook?

Many entrepreneurs hold back from getting involved in social media simply because they are unsure how to get started and how to proceed after getting a toe in the water.

While it isn’t rocket science, social media marketing does require some knowledge and understanding of how it works, and building a nice base of fans on Facebook is no exception.

Here are a few tips to help you create and build a good, solid Facebook fan base:

  • Make a video for your custom landing tab. Be sure to include a “like” button on the page. People respond well to videos, especially if yours is catchy, funny, interesting, informative or otherwise worth watching.

  • Consider using Facebook ads. They are fairly inexpensive and the exposure brought from an ad might make the cost well worth while. One advantage of a Facebook ad is that viewers can become a fan just by clicking a button right there in the as itself.

  • Have a contest or giveaway! Very few people don’t like getting something for nothing or a chance to win something. Don’t give away the store, but do give something a lot of visitors would want to have and ideally---make it something from your dropship products.

  • Imbed your Facebook widgets on your website, your blog, anywhere and everywhere on the internet you can place them! You might be surprised how many people would become fans this way.

  • Link your Twitter account to your Facebook fan page. That way, whenever you post to Facebook, it goes out as a tweet. Since you are only allowed 140 characters on Twitter, your Facebook post will be truncated and a bit.ly link will be inserted back to your fan page.

These are just a few suggestions for building a strong Facebook fan base to help build your brand and grow your ecommerce dropship business.
